Long Login Time Over Putty and SSH
Long Login Time Over Putty and SSH
There is a known issue where if your RediGate is setup for DNS, and the computer you are trying to SSH into it from is not on a network that the DNS server can resolve a name for, then the putty login prompt will take ~20 seconds to present the password field. This has to do with a reverse look-up that SSH tries to perform, and can be resolved by creating and SSH connection from a computer on the network where the DNS is located.
